Cleveland Clinic received granted planning permission from Westminster City Council’s for the conversion of 33 Grosvenor Place into an advanced healthcare facility.
Since it was founded in 1921, Cleveland Clinic has developed an international reputation for providing integrated, doctor-led care to patients in the United States, and they are pleased to start the development of their first facility in London.
Cleveland Clinic’s plans for 33 Grosvenor Place will include:
- Change the use of the existing building from Office to Residential Institutions category to provide a 200-bed hospital with eight operating theatres.
- Retain the majority of the existing structure and external face of the building.
- Reinstate the building’s original entrances by removing the unsightly and unfriendly ramps and stairs. This will enhance the architectural quality of the building with a sensitive renovation.
